With the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris coming up just around the corner, Nike has teamed up with legendary graffiti artist Futura for the Futura x Nike Jam “Olympics.” Revealed just months after he dropped his iconic Nike SB Dunk Low, this upcoming collab gives the breakdancing silhouette a unique twist.
Compared to the aforementioned SB Dunk, Futura’s take on the Jam is surprisingly minimal. Working on top of a crisp “White” mesh base, it’s overlaid by panels and panels of “Photon Dust” suede and leather. “Platinum Tint” accents hit the lacing system, and the inside of the trainer is completely covered with Futura’s signature art motif. This takes over the sockliner, pull tabs, and even the insole, resulting in a true collector’s item.
Dual Swooshes make their way to the lateral and medial sidewalls so you’ll be able to admire the logo whether you’re standing up or upside down, and the chunky foam midsole is infused with raised dots throughout for additional grip and traction. The unit is also slightly curved to facilitate even the most complex slides and ankle bends. All of this it packed in a special edition shoebox, which comes with a bunch of exclusive accessories like speckles laces and a stainless steel dubrae.
Expected to drop on July 26th just in time for the 2024 Paris Games, even if you’ve never breakdanced in your life you’ll want the Futura x Nike Jam “Olympics” in your rotation.
