With Deadpool & Wolverine finally hitting cinemas this week, Marvel and adidas are teaming up once again, this time for the Marvel x adidas “Deadpool & Wolverine” collection. The ultimate tribute to the 34th film in the MCU (and the only MCU film this year, in fact), it’s the perfect collaboration whether you’re a comic book fan, a sneakerhead, or both.
Taking on the legendary Rivalry Low, Deadpool’s version is decked out in a plush, red suede that’s accented with black detailing throughout, capturing the anti-hero’s signature colour scheme. The design includes speckled paint on the midsole, nodding to the Merch With a Mouth’s penchant for chaos and gore. Additionally, a brown leather pouch can be found on the laces, reflecting his function-minded costume and giving the sneaker an extra edge.
For Wolverine’s pair, on the other hand, the designers have embraced his classic yellow, blue, and black uniform that was first introduced in Incredible Hulk #180 in 1962. The trainer features the iconic X-Men logo on the tongue and adamantium claw marks slashing through the Three Stripes branding on the side. This bold design pays homage to Logan’s fierce and rugged character.
As well as the Rivalry Lows, the range also includes the adiZero Electric cleat designed for Deadpool. This high-performance cleat combines cutting-edge tech with striking aesthetics, ensuring that athletes and fans alike can perform at their best while making a statement on the field. A trio of awesome graphic tees then round it all off, finalising the collection.
