Bodega and ASICS have been collaborating for over seven years now, and for their latest project, they’re celebrating the little victories with the Bodega x ASICS GEL-Kayano 20 “Small Wins Add Up.” Taking on the running silhouette for the first time ever, it’s packed with plenty of cool details throughout.
Working on top of a crisp white mesh base, Bodega’s take on the GEL-Kayano 20 is overlaid by a combination of synthetic and leather materials that give it a retro-futuristic vibe. Netting graces the tongue for better ventilation, while the collar area has been beefed up for extra comfort and cushioning with every step.
But while the American retailer could’ve just left it there, it’s gone one step further by adding vibrant pops of colour throughout. Thick yellow rope laces tie everything together, and the full-length GEL midsole is accents with dark green hues throughout. Purple co-branded is printed in the insoles, and all of this comes packed in a special edition shoebox that’s been made exclusively for this collaboration.
