We’re literally only one month into 2024 and it’s already shaping up to be one of the greatest years for the sneaker game, and that’s thanks to upcoming collabs like the Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack TR “University Red.” A colourway that has been on radar for months and months, we’re finally getting up close and personal with it – and it certainly doesn’t disappoint.
From a distance, this shoe looks almost identical to the “Sail” that we previewed earlier this month, but when you squint your eyes, you’ll realise that they couldn’t be more different. Working on top of a slick “Black” canvas base, it’s overlaid by panels and panels of “White” premium leather, resulting in a contrast that is sure to turn heads wherever you go.
The legendary Jumpman logo is finely stitched on the tongue, and the Cactus Jack emoji is embroidered around the heel. Across the lateral side, you’ll find a “University Red” Nike Swoosh that spices things up, and the Houston-born rapper’s first signature sneaker is fastened with a brand new velcro strap that wraps around the toe area.
While we’re not entirely sure what technology is used for the midsole, our guess is that it’s infused with Air technology just like La Flame’s other Air Jordans. The unit is then lined with a creamy “Muslin” rubber outsole, giving the trainer some serious vintage vibes. All of this then comes packed in an exclusive shoebox that’s almost as collectible as the Jumpman Jack TR itself.
Next to nothing else is known about the Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack TR “University Red,” but it’s expected to launch within the coming months alongside a selection of other colourways.
