First Look: Air Jordan 4 Retro SE “Black Canvas” DH7138-006

All Air Jordan 4 Retro releases in 2022 have all been hits. Jordan Brand looks to keep the momentum that way with a brand new recently unveiled colourway. First thought to be the “Olive Canvas”, the Air Jordan 4 Retro SE “Black Canvas” gets a confirmed launch sometime this year.

No official images yet, but this accurate mockup by @zsneakerheads gives us a glimpse of what to expect. Air Jordan 4 x Eminem x Carhartt vibes and a simple colour blocking make this a must-cop pair. As an added bonus, we’ll also talk about other Air Jordan 4 releases scheduled in 2022! Spoiler alert: all of these are straight up heat!

Air Jordan 4 x Eminem x Carhartt Resemblance

When news and a mockup look broke out about the upcoming Air Jordan 4 “Black Canvas”, many quickly pointed out its similarities with the extremely rare J4 x Eminem x Carhartt. Both rock the all-black upper, with Metallic Silver eyestays on the Carhartts while Smoke Grey on the “Black Canvas”.

Based on the mockup by @zsneakerheads, the shoe will feature a black canvas base and a suede mudguard. Grey hues cover the TPU eyestays and rubber outsole.

The colourway reads Black/Light Steel Grey/White/Fire Red, so expect some hints of Red once we get more early looks as well as the official photos.

Expect the Air Jordan 4 “Black Canvas” to drop in August 2022 via SNKRS and other major retailers.

In other news, check out some of the other upcoming Air Jordan 4 Retros in 2022 below.

May the Jordan 4s be with us

  • Air Jordan 4 Retro WMNS “Blank Canvas” – Just like the upcoming “Black Canvas”, this shoe is dressed in an all-canvas build in Sail White. Primary colours on the outsole scream “customise me” because of its plain and basic upper. Read more details here.
  • Air Jordan 4 Retro “Zen Master” – This J4 inspired by legendary Chicago Bulls Phil Jackson pays homage to his unique ways of meditation and Buddhism that he incorporates during team practices. Recent news confirmed that these won’t be releasing in the US, so expect these to be limited. Read more about it here.
  • Air Jordan 4 Retro “Military Black” – A colour blocking taken from the OG “Military Blue”, but this time just in Black, White, and hints of Grey. Read here for more information.
  • Air Jordan 4 Retro “Infrared” – The popular Air Max 90 colourway makes its way to the Air Jordan 4! Sporting the same colour blocking as the “Green Glow” from 2013, this shoe is expected to land in June 2022 after multiple delays. Bringing back the Grey plus Infrared colour combination is a must for all seasons! Not quite the Air Max 90s but still good enough.
  • Air Jordan 4 Retro “Midnight Navy” – Another expected Air Jordan 4 drop with a “Fire Red” colour blocking but Midnight Navy hues replace the Red. Rumoured for an October 2022 launch.

As we can see, it’s going to be a very busy year for the Air Jordan 4. It’s been an eventful first half for both Nike and Jordan Brand, so expect even more surprises along the way.
