An Official Look at the Wales Bonner x adidas Samba Millennium Collection

Grace Wales Bonner and adidas have collaborated multiple times over the past couple of years. But, for the first time ever, the award-winning fashion designer will be taking on a new Samba variant with the Wales Bonner x adidas Samba Millennium. Applying her menswear finesse to the Y2K silhouette, it’s been revealed in two extremely unique colour options.

The “Wonder White” boasts a premium tumbled leather construction that looks and feels extremely luxurious. A dash of brown hits the heel, and vibrant green hues descend upon the inner sockliner. The “Royal Blue” version, on the other hand, switches all of this for a soft pony hair upper that’s sure to turn heads wherever you go. This is then complemented with cream stitching throughout for a sartorially-inspired aesthetic.

Both sneakers boast wavy detailing across the front as a tribute to old school football boots. They also sit on top of chunky gum rubber midsoles, and come packed in special edition shoeboxes that have been made specifically for this collaboration. The Samba Millenniums are finished with co-branded detailing on the tongues, rounding off the one-of-a-kind designs.

Not much else is known about the Wales Bonner x adidas Samba Millennium collection at this moment in time, but according to our sources, they’ll hit shelves on May 20th.
