Point Lane
Hybrid Jordan models usually get ridiculed, but this Jordan Point Lane silhouette became a sensational lifestyle shoe. Jordan Brand hit the park with this one! The shoe wasn’t just a combination of various Air Jordan Retro elements but the setup is also done well. No wonder it was extremely popular during its run.
Jordan Brand first launched the Jordan Point Lane in 2021. Inspired by Michael Jordan’s home address in Highland Park, Chicago, the shoe mixed up design features of Air Jordans 3, 6, and 11. These three models are considered to be MJ’s most memorable sneakers in the NBA as he achieved various feats.
The Air Jordan 3 serves as a historic moment for MJ as he won his first MVP award among many other accolades in the same season. With the Air Jordan 6, MJ and the Chicago Bulls won their first NBA Championship. The Air Jordan 11 is Michael Jordan’s favourite sneaker of all time. He also wore the shoe en route to his 4th championship.
Combine all those pairs and you get the Jordan Point Lane! A large heel Air Max unit is also a huge upgrade compared to the Air Jordan 3’s bubble.
The upper resembles the Air Jordan 6’s zig-zag construction. Mesh and leather comprises the base for that lightweight and well-ventilated ride. The Air Jordan 11’s iconic Jumpman Jordan branding adorns the collar.
Air Jordan 3’s heel panel highlights the back with the Nike Air label.
The large Air unit in the heel borrows the tooling of the Air Max 200. This kind of Air Max bubble provides a bouncy sensation to keep your feet comfortable all day long!
Herringbone traction comprises the rubber outsole.
Jordan Brand released a bunch of awesome colourways, most of them appearing in iconic styles seen on Air Jordan Retros.
