In 2019, Jordan Brand made a big move by signing the NBA star Jayson Tatum. Now, they’re teaming up with him to launch his very first signature shoe, called the Tatum 1. This basketball shoe blends a lightweight design with responsive foam and Zoom Air cushioning, making it a versatile choice for players of all positions.

Jayson Tatum is all set to unveil his first-ever signature shoe in collaboration with Jordan Brand, and it’s known as the Tatum 1. This high-tech athletic shoe has been carefully designed to cater to the new generation of basketball players and proudly holds the title of being the lightest performance shoe in Jordan Brand’s current lineup. The idea behind the Tatum 1 was to establish an unmatched connection between the player and their footwear.

It features a lightweight and sturdy TPU frame, wrapped in a ground-contact foam that also serves as an integrated traction pattern. By minimizing the use of rubber on the toe and ball of the foot, which suits Tatum’s predominantly forefoot playing style, the design achieves reduced weight while retaining a responsive court feel.

To amp up energy return without sacrificing court feel, the shoe incorporates a substantial, uncaged Zoom Air unit in the forefoot. The mesh knit upper combines strength with a lightweight feel, while a padded collar provides essential ankle support. Notably, the Tatum 1 brings its innovative features to the kids’ version as well, with a collapsible heel system for easy wear. The shoe’s specialized outsole features zonal rubber with deeper grooves for enhanced durability and overall performance.
