It looks like Nike and Jordan Brand are lining up more special editions seclusive to Asian nations. We’ve seen a similar theme on the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low “Sashiko”. Now, Nike Korea emerges with a regional-exclusive Air Max 1 ’86 Big Bubble rendition. Below we can see the official images of the Nike Air Max 1 ’86 “World Make”, a possible upcoming Korean-exclusive Air Max 1. Since the launch of the Air Max 1 ’86 Big Bubble on Air Max Day 2023, it now seems clear that Nike are planning a number of releases on this fresh silhouette.
We’re not sure if this will ever hit the EU region as the theme heavily focuses on South Korean culture. Either way, let’s check out the rest of the photos below.
The shoe features a sail white canvas base with a pebbled leather mudguard. On the midfoot, we can see hemp overlays with a unique woven pattern that goes all the way to the heel panel. Thick black lines on the piping cover most of the upper and reinforces the rather lightweight construction. The Swoosh and laces also come in sail white. We also have the sail white PU midsole housing the large Air unit in the heel.
The Nike Air Max patch on the tongue has white and black stitching below. It looks simple at first glance, but it actually spells out the letters WM which stands for “World Make”. These letters can also be found on the special cork insoles with even more details on the left and right pairs.
Embroidered Nike Air branding adorns the heel panel.
The black rubber outsole featuring Bill Bowerman’s waffle traction pattern completes this clean and neutral-toned colourway.
Expect more details about the Nike Air Max 1 ’86 “World Make” to surface in the next few months.
