It’s finally here! Arguably the biggest Air Max release in recent memory will officially arrive this March 2023. We now have more detailed images of the Nike Air Max 1 ’86 Big Bubble as we approach the expected release date. Set to be the highlight of the Air Max Day 2023. The fact that many other awesome AM1s will drop throughout the month also makes this extra special for Air Max fans.

The Nike Air Max 1 ’86 Big Bubble will release for the first time ever as the original prototype never came to fruition. This was because the large Air unit in the heel had tendencies to easily pop, thus Nike modified the bubble to make it more durable.
The iconic “University Red” debut colourway will headline the ’86 Big Bubble just like how it was back then. A White mesh upper comes covered in Red suede mudguard with Grey midfoot suede overlays.
The overall shape of the shoe may differ from previous Air Max 1 releases as the Big Bubble follows the OG version. Nike labels on the tongue and heel keep the branding consistent.
You can see through the large Air unit in the heel. This Air Max setup features four visible pillars compared to the usual three pillars.
The Nike Air Max 1 ’86 Big Bubble will release on the 26th of March, 2023. Set to be a highly anticipated pair for Air Max fans due to the history alone!
