Edison Chen’s Qi Flow Might Be adidas’ Most Unexpected Move Yet
Edison Chen and adidas Originals continue to steer their partnership into fresh territory, and the CLOT adidas Qi Flow feels like something completely fresh. Developed for adidas’ Lunar New Year 2026 lineup, the silhouette draws from the Year of the Horse. Rather than revisiting an archive favourite, CLOT introduces an entirely new model, keeping the focus on cultural storytelling.
The foundation sits low, built around an espadrille-style sole that leans into handcrafted tradition while aligning with the current shift toward slimmer profiles. That braided midsole gives the shoe a grounded feel, setting it apart from typical adidas tooling. Above it, the Qi Flow takes on a slipper-like structure.
Deconstructed black textiles wrap the foot opening across the forefoot. A diagonal lateral panel links to a larger medial section through three elastic straps, finished with knotted details and a pearl-style accent.
