The Jordan Brand sponsors a handful of NCAA Basketball Teams, with exclusive apparel and footwear. Arguably the most recognised school is none other than Michael Jordan’s alma mater, the University of North Carolina. This popular college located in Chapel Hill returns as the main inspiration for the upcoming Air Jordan 1 High “UNC Toe”. We already got the UNC and the Obsidian rocking similar colour blocking, but this colourway comes in strongest.
This shoe follows the Yellow Toe colour scheme from 2022, which was started by the Bred Toe in 2018. Since then, we’ve seen loads of new colourways rocking the same colour blocking in various themes.
The mock-up above from @zSneakerheadz is accurate as we finally have first-look images of the shoe. Set to drop on July 8, 2023, let’s check out the rest of the early images below. This is going to be a very hyped AJ1 drop, we can definitely be certain about that!
The White leather upper makes up the quarter panels while Black covers most of the shoe including the Swoosh, eyestay, collar, and toe.
University Blue hues adorn the heel, vamp, outsole, and Nike Air labels on the tongue.
The Black Air Jordan Wings logo stands out as the UNC Blue areas come in premium pebbled leather.
