One of the most limited Air Jordan 1 releases in 2023 is here. We now have detailed images of the shoe! The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Year of the Rabbit” celebrates the upcoming 2023 Chinese New Year with rich suede textures and gold heel accents. To give you an idea of how limited these shoes are, there are only 5000 pairs in existence. Each pair individually numbered on the tongue. What makes them even more prestigious is that limited Chinese New Year Air Jordans only release in Asia.
Expectedly dropping sometime in February 2023, let’s check out the early detailed images of the shoe.
The first thing people notice about the shoe is that it’s highly reminiscent of the “Reverse Mocha” Travis Scott Air Jordan 1s. Sail White suede comprises the vamp and quarter panels of the shoe. Mocha Brown accents make up the suede toe and eyestay.
Cream White Swooshes and Grey heel panels also add to the rich mix of colours.
The golden leather heel panel features the Air Jordan Wings logo to provide a premium look. Gold also symbolises wealth in Chinese culture, we do hope to cop a lot of pairs in the coming year!
Inside the tongue is a golden rabbit logo, with individual numbers seen underneath.
Another rabbit inspiration found on the shoe is the furry laces. We’re sure a lot of people are going to do a lace swap with Brown laces!
The special sockliner features a Red Chinese envelope with a Jumpman logo on the heel. This type of envelope is popular in Chinese culture and given on special occasions as a way to send their best wishes and good luck.
Those living in select Asian regions can try their luck on a pair. However, those living in Europe and other continents can only hope for StockX and eBay once pairs roll out. The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Year of the Rabbit” will drop in February 2023 just in time for the Chinese New Year.
This is definitely going to be a popular release because of its Travis Scott Reverse Mocha similarities!
