Missed out on the two limited Kasina x Nike Air Max 1 colourways? Worry not, Nike’s got even more Duck themes for you! While duck-inspired colourways on Nike shoes usually refer to the Oregon Ducks, this new duo pays tribute to 2001. Dubbed the “Ugly Duckling” Pack. Both new AM1 renditions rock earthy hues in rich premium suede fabrics. The Nike Air Max 1 “Ugly Duckling” Pack continues the hot streak of fire Air Max 1 colourways in 2022.
The 35th-anniversary celebration of the Nike Air Max 1 lives on with these two colourways. Known as the “Pecan” and “Black Honeydew” styles, let’s check out the detailed images below:
Colourway: Pecan/Yellow Ochre-Baroque Brown
The first of the two colourways is this “Pecan” rendition. The shoe rocks a full suede upper in hints of Brown, Pecan, and Yellow Ochre. Lighter hues make up the mudguard, while darker shades of Brown cover the base suede body. Yellow Ochre adorns the Swoosh, laces, outsole, and the embroidered duck logo on the heel.
The stylised yellow duck on the heel is not as colourful nor as detailed as the Kasina Won-Ang and the Oregon Ducks logo. But its simplicity makes up for the clean and classic colour combination inspired by Dunks from 2001.
The extra laces come in Brown to give you more styling options!
As of writing, Nike has not provided any release date. But expect these to land during Fall 2022 as more Air Max 1s drop before we close out the year.
Colourway: Anthracite/Honeydew-Black-Kumquat
The second colourway boasts contrasting hits of Black, Grey, with shades of Orange and Green Honeydew. Just like its counterpart, this Air Max 1 sports a full suede construction. Kumquat Orange makes up the mudguard of the shoe while Black and Grey cover the base and overlays, respectively. Honeydew colours adorn the Swoosh, laces, Air Max pillar, duck logo, and rubber outsole.
This makeover can also be associated with some Halloween kicks from Nike due to the Orange and Black. We’re hoping the Honeydew Green glows in the dark for extra detail, but it does just fine without it.
Black extra laces are included together with the shoe.
Expect this Air Max 1 “Black Honeydew” colourway to release alongside the “Pecan” rendition. Rumours have a possible Fall 2022 release date but stay tuned for more official information from Nike soon.
