First Look at the Nike Air Max 1 “Urawa” (2023) FD9081-001

Nike’s Air Max 1 lineup in 2023 keeps getting better! Joining the roster of AM1 colourways from the early 2000s is this Urawa colourway. The first rendition originally came out in 2004 and donned a dominant Red makeover as a nod to the team jersey. This Nike Air Max 1 “Urawa” (2023) surfaces in a clean neutral-toned treatment, with minimal Red accents.

The 2004 release was a Japan-exclusive release. We’re thinking Nike will most liklely make this upcoming pair widely available!

No official release details are available but we can expect more information soon. In the meantime, check out the rest of the first-look photos below courtesy of @long7ze.

This new colourway features a Black mesh body with Light Grey leather mudguard and overlays. The Swooshes on the sides and forefoot rand come in White. This makeover is a nod to the away jersey of the Urawa Red Diamonds, a Japanese football club in the country’s top-tier J1 League.

Red tones adorn the top eyelets and heel Air unit, while Gold accents appear on the tongue.

The embroidered dragon-like logo on the heel returns on this 2023 version.

Finishing off the clean design is the White rubber outsole with Black speckles. Nike Air branding can be found on the heel.

We can expect Nike to provide more details as we approach its release date. Just like most Air Max 1 releases in recent years, the Nike Air Max 1 “Urawa” 2023 will definitely gain a lot of attention.
