First Look: Nike Air Max 1 – Air Max Day 2022 “Blue Print”

As we approach the 35th anniversary of the Nike Air Max 1, the sneaker community has been buzzing with excitement around what may surface on the 26th of March. With that in mind we take a close up look at some newly surfaced shots of this Ice Cold Air Max 1 “Air Max Day 2022” Special Edition “Blue Print”.

Boasting cool pigments of icey blue on white / sail and a worldwide theme across the upper, heel and tongue. The idea that the love and appreciation for Air Max have gone global is evident in the styling of this shoe.

Joining the other powerhouse colour schemes such as the “City of Light” and the “Wabi-Sabi”; the Nike Air Max 1 “3.26” arrives in a White/Dark Marina Blue-Dutch Blue colour scheme.

White mesh makes up the base layer while soft blue pastels reinforce the pebbled leather upper. The midfoot leather panel comes in Grey for a complimenting blend of colours. The Swoosh features a glossy design with a grid-like pattern and is accompanied by an even smaller Swoosh right on the forefoot.

Special details include: the white leather tongue with a Nike Air Max logo on top of a grid pattern; “3.26” detail on the laces referring to Air Max Day; and a blueprint of a globe found on the heel panel and sockliner to showcase the global impact of Air Max.

The foam midsole appears in a Sail White upper and houses the visible Air unit in the heel. A semi-translucent waffle traction pattern provides an ice-cold finish to this ice-cold pair!

While obvious hints lean to a March 26, 2022 release; this “Blue Print” rendition with style code DR0448-100 is going to be a regional-exclusive release in North America.
