First Look: Nike Air Max 1 ’86 Big Bubble “Indigo” DV7525-001

Looks like the ’86 Big Bubble edition is here to stay! Since Nike launched the Air Max 1 ’86 “University Red” during Air Max Day 2023, initialy it was presumed it was a one-and-done thing. However, all these new colourways prove otherwise! The Nike Air Max 1 ’86 Big Bubble “Indigo” emerges as another upcoming style under the ’86 construction.

Yesterday, we covered the upcoming Air Max 1 ’86 “Smokey Mauve”. This new “Indigo” looks to join in on the fun with the classic colour blocking. Check out the full image below courtesy of @am1ent.

Nike looks to keep the consistency and dresses this new Nike Air Max 1 ’86 Big Bubble “Indigo” in a White mesh base with Light Grey suede midfoot overlays. Indigo tones comprise the suede mudguard and Swoosh logos.

More Light Grey tones adorn the laces, top eyelet, and heel. We can also see the size tag on the medial section of the inner lining.

The White PU midsole features the large heel Air Max unit in the heel. This is going to be the standard for all ’86 Big Bubble releases and will be different from regular AM1s. It’s like the Air Jordan 1 High and Air Jordan 1 High ’85, the same model with two completely different versions coexisting.

An Indigo waffle sole and the classic reimagined AM1 box complete the rumoured design.
