Air Max Day 2023 is not the conclusion for Air Max 1 Big Bubble releases as we have confirmed new drops on the way. Following the Air Max 1 ’86 Big Bubble “Sport Red” is a new Big Bubble rendition! The Nike Air Max 1 ’86 OG “Metallic Gold Grain” FJ8314-200 surfaces to continue the run of Air Max 1 Big Bubble colourways.
Since Nike finally got the right formula to produce more pairs of the Big Bubble AM1 without them easily popping. It’s evident that the ’86 editions will be different from the usual releases as the box comes with “reimagined” aesthetics.
Rumour has it that this specific colourway is limited to only 1,986 pairs – a nod to the AM1’s first release. Pairs are individually numbered on the medial section right above the big bubble. All these early pairs were given to friends & family at an event held by Nike and Kids of Immigrants.
We’re hoping this pair sees a wider release for us Air Max fans!
Check out this early look via @horhead_sales as we can expect more release details soon.
The Nike Air Max 1 ’86 OG “Metallic Gold Grain” features a White mesh body with Tan midfoot and heel overlays. Dark Brown tones cover the mudguard and the Swooshes, as well as the outsole.
We can also see White Nike Air Max branding on the heel along with the clean White PU midsole. The visible large-volume Air unit comes in Brown to complement the overall design.
Subtle OG details such as the sizing label on the inner lining stick true to the 80s form.
The box will be arriving in the same style as the “Sport Red” which indicates this is going to be the norm for this style.
As of writing, no other details have been identified. We will definitely provide more information once more images emerge. This is looking like a busy year for Air Max 1 fans!
