With the last few years being dominated with re-releases and fresh plays on the Nike Dunk Low. Nike is looking to get a bit more creative with their latest take on the popular silhouette. In a not-so-surprising move, the Swoosh brand has completely revamped the iconic Dunk Low into a more modern trainer. This Nike Dunk Low Remastered “Mint Foam” sets for a possible release in early 2023 as the shoe updates the materials and tech of the shoe, whilst remaining instantly recognisable as the Dunk Low.
Let’s check out the first look and in-hand images below courtesy of @chefmasterian. We can already tell a lot of fans will have divided opinions about this new look!
The first thing you’ll notice about the shoe is the materials used. Mesh makes up the base of the shoe, while leather covers the toe, eyestay, Swoosh, and rear. Exposed foam appears on the bottom and top part of the tongue, indicating pre-distressed aesthetics throughout the shoe.
This pair features White and Grey dual tones on the upper.
The tongue also comes with a nylon pull tab where the brand tag also resides.
The side panels feature a Pink nylon mudguard for added reinforcements.
Inside the sockliner, you’ll see a modernised Air label, which points out to the cushioning system on the shoe. We can also see Air Zoom on the outsole, We’re unsure how the setup goes, but it’s looking to be more comfortable than the cushion-less Dunk Low.
The traction pattern borrows some details from the original, but with modified flex grooves on the forefoot.
We can expect more details the Nike Dunk Low Remastered “Mint Foam” to surface soon once Nike shines some light on the shoe. As soon as we here more, we’ll let you know.
