Following the success of the two Air Jordan 1 High colourways from Union LA, here we see a third rendition. This time, the LA-based brand gives us something completely different. The Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High “Neutral Grey” combines the vintage look of the “Neutral Grey” with the signature woven pattern from the Footscape Woven.
This is a far cry from the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High releases from 2018 as the brand modified the ankle collars. Rumoured for an August 2023 release, check out the rest of the first-look images of the shoe via @xcsnkr.
Union LA tries something new and brings the Footscape Woven feature to an Air Jordan 1 High. A completely unexpected move but it’s nice to see brands dare to be different!
The shoe features the Neutral Grey colour scheme with a White pebbled leather upper. Grey accents comprise the Swoosh, Jordan Wings, tongue, and collar. Yellow outlines form around the midfoot, with the signature UN/LA tag below the Wings.
Green stitches run between the collar and the body of the shoe for additional detail.
The most noticeable design is none other than the woven pattern running full-length across the sides and unto the toe. This is the same pattern found on the Footscape Woven, a Nike lifestyle trainer first unveiled in the early 2000s.
The green stitching on the heel seems to resemble a signature.
Sources expect an August 2023 launch for this colourway. This is the first Air Jordan 1 High collab from Union since 2018. Earlier this year we saw two Air Jordan 1 KO Low colourways get the Union LA treatment.
