After a long two year hiatus, sacai and Nike are back with a bang with the sacai x Nike Zegamadome SP. First previewed on the runways of Paris Fashion Week a few months ago, the collection has now been officially revealed. And, just like Chitose Abe’s previous sneakers with the Swoosh, it mashes up two legendary silhouettes into one.

As you can probably already guess from its unique name, the Zegamadome combines the upper of the ZoomX Zegama trail runner with the sole unit of the classic Magma Dome hiking boot. While this doesn’t sound like it should work on paper, in practice, it looks incredible. Revealed in three colourways, the upper is decked out in leather, mesh, and suede and it comes with the Japanese label’s unmistakable double Swoosh and dual lacing system.

But the Zegamadome isn’t just about its good looks, either. Underfoot, the midsole is infused with ZoomX cushioning for unrivalled levels of comfort, and if that wasn’t enough, it’s also fitted with arugged Vibram rubber outsole for unbeatable grip. All of this is then packed in sacai’s signature big red shoebox that’s been around since 2019.
