After almost eight years of waiting, the hotly anticipated Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard 3.0 is finally here. Made in collaboration with the American contemporary artist, while it stays faithful to its OG roots, there are a few subtle changes that make this sneaker hit different.

At first glance, the “Natural” mesh upper and bold “Sport Red” Swoosh feel familiar. But details like the new silkscreen print, reinforced TPU toecap, and translucent heel clip hint at deeper changes. Sachs has fine-tuned the ankle straps and eyestays too so they’re more rugged. Even the “Maple” suede has a slightly more durable finish. It’s still recognisably Mars Yard, just reworked for 2025.

The most significant changes lie beneath your foot. Gone is the ultra-flexible Nike Free sole from past versions. In its place: React foam for a softer, more responsive ride, plus a visible carbon fibre plate embedded within the outsole. It’s the same kind of tech you’d find in high-performance runners like the Alphafly 3.

Expect a release across Nike, the SNKRS app, and select retailers this September, let us know if you’ll be adding the Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard 3.0 to your rotation, and be sure to keep it locked for your best chance to secure your size!
