During this year’s Air Max Day celebrations, Nike introduced the Nike Air Max Pulse. Inspired by the Air Max 270, the lifestyle shoe is enhanced with a much larger Air unit in the heel, adding a point-loaded system for increased stability. Now, it looks like a direct sequel to the AM270 is on the way – and we’re taking our first look yet.
From a design standpoint, we can see clear similarities between this and the original 270. This futuristic model replaces the breathable mesh construction with a stronger textile base. This is then reinforced with a rubber toe cap and a diagonal overlay. Wavy eyestays make up the lacing system, which seems to improve the fit by cradling the upper when laced up.
Underfoot, the midsole closely resembles the unit found on the Air Max 270. Featuring foam on the front and the large 270-degree unit in the heel. A newly-designed TPU counter has been added around the heel for better stability and support. This also protects the large Air bubble from any unwanted damage.
We’re hoping that official details will be confirmed soon, so make sure you keep it locked at Captain Creps for all of the latest info. In other news, the Nike Air Max 180 “Ultramarine” is returning in 2024 with a bigger Air unit!
