While the Dunk definitely isn’t as hyped as it was, say, two or three years ago, there are still some releases out there that blow the sneaker game out of the water, with one of them being the upcoming Nike Dunk Low “What the Duck.” First rumoured back in August, the collection has now been officially revealed. And while you might think that it’s as simple as just heading on the SNKRS app and copping through there, unfortunately, it’s a little more complicated than that.
Made in collaboration with Division Street’s Ducks of a Feather program, this limited edition Dunk comes in two colourways, including a “Home” version and an “Away” one. The former works on top of a buttery suede base, and is covered with metal grate patterns and carbon fibre detailing. The latter, on the other hand, opts for a cleaner approach, infusing the ’80s basketball shoe with shiny materials and feather-like graphics. These are all references to the bold and colourful designs of past University of Oregon uniforms from the last 25 years.
Both Nike trainers boast asymmetrical designs that are sure to turn heads wherever you go, and just like Division Street’s Air Max 1 from 2022, they come with special keychains that have been made exclusively for this release. The tongue and heels are also embroidered with “DOAF” which stands for Ducks of a Feather, and everything’s packed in boxes that are almost as cool as the actual shoes themselves.
Want the Nike Dunk Low “What the Duck” in your rotation this season? Then you need to listen up. A limited number of will first drop in-store at Flight Club in New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, and Tokyo on October 5th. The collection will then get a much wider launch on Oct 11th via GOAT.com and the GOAT app. As always, all proceeds from the sales will benefit the Division Street Fund to support student-athletes at the University of Oregon.
