Jordan Brand is celebrating its big 40th birthday this year, and to mark this momentous occasion, they’ve reunited with Swarovski for the Swarovski x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Crystal”. Inspired by the iconic “Shadow” colourway that recently re-released, not only is this one of the shiniest AJ1s ever made, it’s one of the most expensive, too.

Working on top of a buttery suede base, “Shadow Grey” hues descend upon the toebox, heel counter, and Swoosh. The rest of the upper is decked out in black for that classic aesthetic. But while Nike could’ve just left it there and it would’ve sold out anyway, they’ve covered the entire Air Jordan 1 in thousands and thousands of Swarovski crystals. Every single panel glitters under light, turning what would usually be a staple colourway into something that’s sure to turn heads wherever you go.

They haven’t cut corners with the extras, either. Inside the box is a blacked-out collector’s edition case, a care guide (because this isn’t your regular beater), and a crystal-shaped basketball hangtag that hints at the luxury theme. A silver 3D Wings logo on the heel completes the look, adding one last detail to underline its limited-edition nature.
