New Balance Drop The 990v3 Teddy Santis “Sea Salt” M990AL3

The man responsible for the New Balance x Aime Leon Dore collabs brings his own mastery to another silhouette. Teddy Santis’ New Balance Made in USA collection headlined some of the New Balance 99x releases earlier in the year. This time, he’s back for more and brings the New Balance 990v3 “Sea Salt” in stores. While the collection lacks ALD motifs, we still see the vintage-inspired details throughout.

Just recently released in the UK,the New Balance 990v3 “Sea Salt” has just the right blend of Dad shoe and flex shoe. New Balance and Aime Leon Dore’s founder have done it again!

The New Balance 990v3 “Sea Salt” rocks a clean colour combination of White, Grey, and Light Bone on the body. Yellowing portions on the ENCAP midsole bring vintage vibes to the iconic New Balance trainer. Metallic Silver “N” logos on the sides and the 990 labels on the rear stay true to New Balance’s signature colours. Red “New Balance USA” branding makes up the Black padded area on the tongue.

Details on the sockliner have been updated to set it apart from the usual New Balance 990v3 colourways.

“Made in USA” branding appears on the pigskin suede heel panel. Underneath, a red NB logo adds more brand labelling; as well as the locar case “new balance” text on the silver heel counter.

The ENCAP midsole features a vintage yellowing effect similar to Teddy Santis’ New Balance x ALD collabs. Diamond-like patterns on the outsole provide durable and reliable traction.

Released last July 2022, the New Balance 990v3 Teddy Santis “Sea Salt” is quite a popular style that is not as limited as New Balance x Aime Leon Dore range. There are no ALD nor Teddy Santis signatures on the shoe, but subtle designs such as the yellowing midsole can give sneakerheads an idea of the old-school retro element.
