Nike Air Force 1 “Invisible Woman 2.0” Revives the Legendary Clear Toebox

Nike digs into one of its most talked-about design themes with a revival of the clear-panel Air Force 1. First seen in the early 2000s, the design gets attention for its translucent forefoot, a detail that’s become a talking point within the scene for good and for bad due to the unintended fogged-up look. Now, the concept returns with a cleaner and more polished update ready for Summer 2025.

The sneaker keeps the base classic with crisp white leather wrapping most of the upper, but it’s the translucent TPU panels that take centre stage. Unlike the originals, the plastic isn’t stretched across the entire forefoot. Instead, it’s blocked in sections along the toe-box, midfoot, and heel, giving the shoe a more refined balance.

Adding to the icy aesthetic, Nike pairs the white midsole with a blue-tinted translucent outsole that mirrors the upper accents. Tonal branding and a metallic AF1 dubrae round out the details, keeping things simple while letting the transparent sections speak for themselves.

The “Invisible Woman 2.0” salutes an classic chapter in Air Force 1 history, while also waiting a fair amount of time to bring it back for today’s fans. It’s a bit nostalgic and very divisive, a sneaker destined to spark conversations the moment it hits the shelves. Dropping September 1st, Are invisible toe boxes on sneakers a cop or a drop?
