Nike prepares for Autumn / Winter 2022 with a duo of toned-down Nike Air Max Plus colourways. The Nike Air Max Plus “Black Reflective” and Air Max Plus “Grey Reflective” both feature the fresh addition of toggle lacing.
Along with their lightweight construction, were getting a subtle nod to trail running shoes. A worthy comparisson should also be drawn from the recent Air Max 95 Toggle Lacing releases. As with the Air Max 95, the regular lacing setup remains intact underneath the toggle lacing system.
Set to arrive with us in the last few months of 2022, let’s check out the official photos of both of these pairs.
Unlike regular Air Max Plus or Tuned 1 pairs, this shoe boasts a lightweight mesh upper with fuse overlays replacing TPU. This makes up for an even lighter ride with the reduction of TPU fingers on the upper. Even the Swoosh on the sides utilises fuse for a minimalist finish.
The toe cap still features hard plastic while the mudguard and heel panels incorporate suede.
The toggle lacing system covers the regular laces underneath. These cables reinforce the sides for a more locked-down fit similar to trail running shoes with toggle laces. – Thus where we noted the earlier comparisson.
3M Reflective materials remain a mainstay feature of the shoe, making these pop at night.
The next colourway features two different accents of Grey headlined by Yellow Nike TN logos on the tongue and heel.
Grey mesh construction with fuse overlays makes up the toned-down upper. Suede mudguard, tongue, and heel sections add to the variety of materials used on this trainer.
Toggle laces also come in Grey and wrap the midfoot area for an improved fit.
Yellow Nike Air logos on the tongue, heel, and sockliner gives the monochromatic shoe some vibrance.
Hang tight for more info on the Air Max Plus TN Toggle Lacing drops as soon as we know release dates, we’ll let you know!
