New colourways arrive once more on the Scottie Pippen classic Nike Air More Uptempo. Nike bringing OG and new makeovers on to the table over the last 12 months. This edition, the Nike Air More Uptempo “Lakers” arrives in a Black and Purple colour scheme. This recently surfaced colourway looks like a simple “Court Purple” rendition at first; but peek at the Metallic Gold details on the tongue that made it a Lakers-worthy style.
Unlike the OG Lakers edition from back in 1995 the new Court Purple Nike Air Max Uptempo boasts a more subtle approach.
In typical Uptempo fashion, nubuck makes up the base of the upper. A purple mini Swoosh on the forefoot adds to the brand identity.
The most eye-catching feature on the shoe is the large “AIR” lettering, the clear feature point of the silhouette. Featuring a purple outline while the base dons a glossy cracked leather appearance.
Notable details consist of the Metallic Gold Swoosh embroidered on the tongue; Zebra print on the Nike label on the sockliner, and the glossy leather panels.
The segmented full-length Air Max unit provides maximum cushioning and impact protection; exactly what you would expect from an Air Max.
Below, multiple herringbone traction sections give a reliable grip on most surfaces. Two Swooshes can also be seen below.
Official release details have not yet been identified, but stay tuned for updates soon as we progress through the year. If there are new advancements about the Nike Air More Uptempo “Lakers”, best believe Captain Creps will provide you with everything you need to know.
