Nike continues to honour the legacy of late designer Virgil Abloh with all-new colourways of the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid. This posthumous release marks another addition to what was supposed to be a very productive collab between the two. Previewed for months, we now have official images of the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Varsity Maize,” hinting at a possible release in the very near future.
Let’s check out the rest of the images of this collaborative AF1 Mid below. If you missed out on all Virgil Abloh’s masterpieces before, this is the best time to catch up.
Sporting a two-tone vibe, the shoe has white leather on the vamp and quarter panels, while yellow makes up most of the upper construction. Exaggerated details and oversized layers feature throughout, which, if you’re familiar to Off-White, is signature to their design language.
The oversized Swoosh is surrounded with zig-zag stitching, while the external lacing setup comes in white. Other accessories such as the zip-tie and co-branded labels on the medial panel remain true to form. A grim reaper holding a scythe appears on the lateral rear.
Foam spikes line the outsole, while a wavy distorted midsole featuring a visible Nike Air unit in the heel.
A release date for the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Varsity Maize” DR0500-101 has yet to be officially confirmed, but expect it to drop very soon.
