Pokémon and adidas are marking the franchise’s 30th anniversary with one of their biggest collaborations to date. Arriving in September 2026, the Pokémon x adidas 30th Anniversary Collection transforms more than a dozen adidas silhouettes into wearable tributes to some of the franchise’s most iconic Pokémon characters, including Pikachu, Mewtwo, Rayquaza, Charizard, Gengar, and more.
Building on years of successful collaborations, the latest partnership delivers one of adidas’ most ambitious Pokémon collections yet. Each sneaker brings character-inspired colors, textures, and unique design elements to life while reimagining classic adidas silhouettes through the lens of the beloved franchise.
You already know where we’re going with this Pokémon x adidas drop: “Gotta Catch ‘Em All!”
Leading the collection is Pokémon’s beloved mascot, Pikachu, who appears across multiple adidas classics. One version of the adidas Superstar embraces Pikachu’s playful personality with soft suede construction, heel patches featuring the character’s face, and signature plush ears attached to the tongue.

The second Superstar takes a more understated approach, dressing the upper in a black-and-white Pokémon character mosaic while adding interchangeable Poké Ball laces and vintage-inspired detailing.

Completing Pikachu’s lineup is the adidas Pro Model, featuring bold yellow pony hair construction and an oversized Pikachu charm mounted on the heel for one of the collection’s most eye-catching designs.

The Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo receives three unique interpretations across the Handball Spezial, Samba, and ZX8000.
The adidas Handball Spezial features soft pink gradient tooling and a sculpted heel buckle inspired by Mewtwo’s signature tail. Premium gold graphic insoles further celebrate the Legendary Psychic-type Pokémon.

Meanwhile, the adidas Samba sports Mewtwo graphics on the tongue and glossy purple heel accents. Available in both adult and kids sizing, the sneaker also incorporates a modified eyestay with three lace holes, a clever nod to Mewtwo’s three-fingered hands.

Completing the trio is the adidas ZX8000, which adds molded TPU ears extending from the heel and a Master Ball lace dubrae while maintaining the Legendary Pokémon’s signature purple color palette.

The Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza inspires two futuristic adidas silhouettes that perfectly capture its commanding presence.
The adidas Megaride F50 features textured, scale-like overlays across the upper alongside an oversized lace shroud decorated with Rayquaza’s glowing yellow markings.

Completing the duo is the adidas adiStar Control 5, combining shimmering mesh and synthetic overlays with metallic finishes that give the silhouette a powerful, sky-worthy aesthetic.

Charmander makes its appearance on the adidas Superstar in a clean combination of white, yellow, and orange. Fiery accents across the Three Stripes and warm color blocking reflect the Fire-type starter’s energetic personality while preserving the timeless shell-toe silhouette.

The evolution continues with the adidas Superstar “Charmeleon.” While maintaining the Superstar’s familiar shape, this version introduces a pinkish and textured shell-toe detailing inspired by Charmeleon’s more aggressive appearance.

The final stage of the evolution arrives with the adidas Superstar “Charizard.” Bright orange scaly uppers are paired with soft green collar lining that references Charizard’s iconic color palette. Removable wing-shaped lace attachments complete one of the most detailed and collectible designs in the collection.

The Ghost-type lineup begins with Gastly, which lands on the adidas adiStar Control 3. A black and deep purple color scheme mirrors the Pokémon’s mysterious aura, while layered materials and subtle graphics recreate its signature smoky appearance.

Haunter’s sharp, spiky silhouette is translated onto the adidas adiStar Control 5 through jagged suede tongue panels that resemble the Ghost-type Pokémon’s floating hands. Purple dominates the upper, while bright pink outsole accents serve as a nod to Haunter’s signature tongue.

Closing the collection is arguably its most creative design. The adidas adiStar XLG 2.0 “Gengar” features oversized mirrored eyes protruding from the synthetic sidewalls, while strategically placed white mesh at the toe recreates the Ghost-type Pokémon’s unmistakable grin. Viewed from above, the entire sneaker resembles Gengar’s face, making it one of the standout creations from the capsule.

The Pokémon x adidas 30th Anniversary Collection is expected to release throughout September 2026 via adidas.com, the CONFIRMED App, and select adidas retailers worldwide. The collection will include both adult and kids sizing, with official pricing and a complete release schedule expected to be announced closer to launch.
