A-COLD-WALL founder Samuel Ross celebrates 25 years of Air Max Plus with a brand new two-pack collab. The British clothing brand brings utilitarian aesthetics to one of the most popular Air Max models around. This A-COLD-WALL* x Nike Air Max Plus “Black” lands in a stealthy all-black rendition with ACW branding throughout.

Popular since 1998, the Nike Air Max Plus proved that Nike Air Max technology can get to the next level. This A-COLD-WALL collab revamps the Tuned 1 we all love with a full leather upper, replacing the TPU overlays with embossed details. It’s basically a triple black Air Max Plus but with subtle additional details on the shoe.

Sean McDowell made a breakthrough in his career when he became the designer of the Nike Air Max Plus. Inspired by windy trees on the beach, the Tuned 1 features a mesh base with gradient fade effects on most colourways. TPU fingers make up the sides and toe areas for reinforcement. Visible Tuned Air units in the forefoot and heel utilise rubber hemispheres for stability.

A whale’s tail midfoot shank plate provides torsional support. Nike’s signature waffle traction pattern by Bill Bowerman adorns the outsole.

This new ACW collab brings forth two Air Max Plus colourways with ACW signatures.

The A-COLD-WALL* x Nike Air Max Plus “Black” features an all-black leather base with embossed waves and small squares. Minimalist ACW can be found on the shank plate and heel panel.
