As if it never left! The adidas Forum has finally made its way to retailers, more than 35 years since it was first launched. Rock this pair of the Three Stripes’ heritage basketball shoes in a fashionable White with Gum sole.
The story of the adidas Forum dates back to 1984 when it was introduced as the brand’s primary basketball footwear. It replaced the adidas Top Ten and went on to become popular in the basketball world. It was so popular that some guy named Michael Jordan wore them in the 1984 Olympic Trials before he ended up signing with Nike.
With a hook and pull strap on the top lace loop, the adidas Forum Low focused on comfort and support. It also arrived in high, mid, and low-top versions.
The shoe continued to appear quietly in adidas stores, but its major re-release as part of the adidas Originals footwear in 2020 brought back memories from the past. It became insanely popular and was once again on the front page of most adidas advertisements.
This rendition of the adidas Forum Low boasts a fashion-focused Cloud White leather upper. A typeface “FORUM” replaces the classic adidas trefoil logo beside the three stripes for a minimal finish. More adidas brandings are placed on the ankle strap and the midsole. They’re not the best on-court shoe nowadays, but they’re still stylish and highly comfortable for your casual fits.
The outsole features multiple circles with trefoil patterns connected like nodes. A concentric pattern on the ball of the foot provides the much-needed grip that once helped ballers to perform their best on court.
Released halfway through 2021, expect this shoe to be on everyone’s radar as adidas rolls out more flavours of the classic adidas Forum Low.
