Ready to rock true OG adidas fashion? The adidas Forum has finally made its way back to retailers, more than 35 years since it was first launched. Rock this pair of Three Stripes’ heritage basketball shoes in Cloud White and Royal Blue.
The story of the adidas Forum dates back to 1984 when it was introduced as the brand’s primary basketball footwear. It replaced the adidas Top Ten and went on to become popular among hoopers. It was so popular that some guy named Michael Jordan wore them in the 1984 Olympic Trials before he ended up signing with the Swoosh.
With a hook and pull strap on the top lace loop, the adidas Forum Low focused on comfort and support. It also arrived in high, mid, and low-top versions.
The shoe continued to appear quietly on adidas stores, but its major re-release as part of adidas Originals footwear in 2020 brought nostalgic moments of its first coming. It became a trend just like before, but now as a lifestyle sneaker.
This rendition of the adidas Forum Low sports a classic Royal Blue and Cloud White combination in leather. A classic adidas trefoil logo sits beside the three stripes on the sides, while more adidas brandings are placed on the ankle strap and the midsole. You might not dare play basketball in them, but they’re stylish and highly comfortable wherever you go.
The outsole features multiple circles with trefoil patterns and connected like nodes. A concentric pattern on the ball of the foot provides the much-needed grip that aided ballers to perform with confidence.
Released early 2021, expect adidas to release more colour schemes of the adidas Forum. This specific model is a tribute to the OG Blue and White colourway of the first adidas Forum basketball shoes.
