Looking like a BAPE collab! This new style of the adidas OZWEEGO boasts updated materials with unique upper graphics. The adidas OZWEEGO “Grey Camouflage” gives off a lot of Bathing Ape vibes with its geometric camo prints; could actually be an official collab, especially with the colours used. Either way, the future of the 2019 OZWEEGO reissue looks promising.
The adidas OZWEEGO provides more options to the adidas Originals footwear lineup. With old-school materials and technology as the highlight, people can relive the bulky shoe trend to its former glory. This geometric camo edition keeps things modern with BAPE-like themes on the upper.
While it sounds so modern and futuristic, the first adidas Ozweego originally came out in 1996. Back then, the shoe offered tons of support thanks to the bulky construction headlined by a thick adiPRENE+ midsole. More Ozweego models came out including a luxury version in collaboration with Raf Simons.
Years later, the adidas Ozweego got a modern update (if it wasn’t modern enough) in 2019 with the new adidas OZWEEGO. Just like its predecessors, the 2019 reissue boasts a bulky construction with old-school tech. Textiles make up the upper, with various overlays for extra durability.
The bulky midsole features adiPRENE+ as a nod to the first Ozweego silhouettes. Despite being an old cushioning system, the comfort is still there; mostly because of the thick midsole.
This adidas OZWEEGO “Grey Camouflage” features a ripstop mesh base with Grey geometric camo patterns. Textile and suede panels reinforce the rest of the upper panels.
A darker pigment of Grey makes up the rubber outsole.
