adidas Superstar LEGO "White / Black"

Footwear power house and Adidas have teamed up with Lego for this playful collab. The adidas Superstar x LEGO “White Black” utilizes the classic Superstar colour scheme, but this time with blockier features.

Announced in October 2020, adidas and LEGO’s partnership began with the release of multiple brick models added to the collection. Various adidas Ultraboosts featured colourful LEGO bricks on the three stripes which are customisable according to your preference. The debut received a positive reception from the sneaker community, but the two companies were only just beginning to showcase the full potential of this collab.

The most anticipated sneaker in the adidas x LEGO collection is undoubtedly the adidas Superstar. Not only did it re-create the most popular colourway, but it also arrived with a matching LEGO set. The adidas Originals Superstar LEGO set comes with a shoe box similar to retail pairs. To top it all off the shell-toe sneakers even comes with laces. There’s a total of 731 LEGO pieces for you to work on if you’re up to the challenge.

Back to the shoe, the adidas Superstar came out in 1970 as the brand’s premier basketball shoe. Despite the lack of cushioning, it offered a lot of protection due to the rubber shell-toe. Throughout the 70s, NBA stars rocked the adidas Superstar and gave it huge global recognition.

By the 80s, the shoe gained popularity in hip-hop culture thanks to the New York hip hop group Run-DMC. Ever since then the Superstar has not only become mainstream in basketball, but it has also graced many urban landscapes.

This adidas Superstar LEGO “White / Black” appears in an unforgettable makeover. Zig-zag LEGO brick textures adorn the three stripes, heel panel and also the shell.
