Releasing rather quietly compared to the likes of the 350 V2, Foam Runner, and Slides, the 700 MNVN arrives in new colours. This adidas Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN “Geode” boasts the usual colour blocking of the updated Yeezy 700 model for 2022. It joins the three other colourways confirmed for a 2022 release.
Following last year’s “Honey Flux”, four more adidas Yeezy 700 MNVN renditions lands in 2022. Joining this “Geode” rendition, the likes of “Metallic”, “Resin”, and “Wash Cream” boast pigments ready for Spring. Simple yet impressive colourways that are headlined by the signature “700” branding on the sides.
The adidas Yeezy Boost 700 MNVN originally released in 2020 and went with a different design. Although it uses the same sole unit and upper structure as the previous, the base incorporates a padded nylon upper. This makes up for a highly water-resistant ride that’s also breathable and durable.
Unlike the other Yeezy 700s, the MNVN version only features a “700” lettering on the lateral side. The 700 is reflective and accompanied by reflective overlay strips on the corners of the forefoot and the rear.
A chunky EVA foam midsole returns on this one. Cut-out designs add to the overall bulky aesthetic of the trainer. Inside, the uber-comfortable full-length Boost foam midsole provides cushioning for all-day comfort.
Living up to its namesake colourway, the “Geode” Yeezy 700 MNVN utilises a classic Black dominant design; Amethyst hues make up the padded nylon upper – similar to how geodes reveal the purple crystals inside when opened. Black hues cover the tongue, forefoot overlays, lining, eyestay, and the entire sole unit of the shoe.
A herringbone traction pattern with multiple flex grooves completes the outsole.
Expect an official release sometime in April 2022 on adidas.
