Designed by Bruce Kilgore, the Nike Air Force 1  first saw action on the basketball court as Nike’s main basketball model. The shoe’s release in 1982 defined the rest of Nike’s basketball selections during that decade. Its tech also paved the way for the Swoosh to keep developing the brand’s performance footwear aside from basketball.

It was the first time that Nike used the trademarked Nike Air cushioning system on a basketball shoe. Nike Air provided insane comfort, impact protection, and responsiveness which is essential for athletes and travelers.

Through the years, the Nike Air Force 1 transcended beyond basketball and unto various cultures. Notably the hip-hop culture, where various rappers popularised the classic model with their songs, and even lifestyle fashion, where the AF1 became a trendy sneaker for years.

But for 2021, other versions of the Nike Air Force 1 brings more twists to the already-in-demand silhouette. Set aside the High, the Mid, and the iconic Low; this Nike Air Force 1 Boot gets suited up for the fall and winter seasons.

The Nike Air Force 1 Boot showcases various forms – all focused on keeping you stay dry and cosy all throughout the day. We may have heard of the military-style Special Field Air Force One featuring multiple straps around the insanely high ankle collar. But this one tones down a little bit and utilises a rubber ankle strap.

This Nike Air Force 1 Boot Cordura appears in “Black / University Gold”. And just like some of the Nike icons we’ve seen recently, this shoe sports a durable Cordura nylon upper base. Nubuck leather overlays adorn the rest of the panels for reinforcement. While the rest of the body appears in a stealthy Black hue, University Gold accents emblazon the Swoosh’s outline, NIKE label on the tongue, and the Swoosh on the heel. A Cordura tag below the Swoosh assures its heavy-duty quality.

Underneath, the midsole that houses a 3/4 Air unit remains unchanged. While the outsole now features thick lugs in repeating patterns.

Nike continues to bring out winterised versions of their classics, just in time for fall and winter!
