A shoe that continues to shine ever since its arrival in 1985, now made even shinier – in a literal sense. The immortalized Air Jordan 1 High OG returns in the legendary “Bred” colour scheme. And now it incorporates a patent leather construction for a glossy finish. Everybody’s excited about the Air Jordan 1 High “Bred Patent”!
The Black and Red colourway is one of the most popular colourways of all time. Thanks to the Chicago Bulls drafting a guy named Michael Jordan in 1984, we eventually witnessed how Black and Red mixed together well on a basketball shoe. The Air Jordan 1 High “Bred” can be accounted for its rise in popularity.
Casually called the Bred 1s, the Air Jordan 1 High in Black/Red is the first colourway of the Jordan 1. It’s worn by Michael Jordan during most of the Chicago Bulls’ away games as he wore the White/Red Chicago 1s for home games.
Black makes up most of the upper. While Red accents adorn the vamp, Swoosh, Nike Air on the tongue, ankle collar, heel, and rubber outsole. The classic Jordan Wings logo in black add a distinct detail to the first Michael Jordan hoops shoe.
2016 was the last release of the Air Jordan 1 High Bred. But in 2021, the icon returns in a full patent leather makeover.
Staying true to form, the patent leather brings a glossy look similar to the patent leather mudguard of the Air Jordan 11. Other unique details can be found on this shoe; such as the embroidered “Family” signature inside the ankle collar, and a shiny metallic Jumpman hangtag. The box also comes with a shiny finish to complete the theme.
The perfect release to close out the year, expect full anticipation for this launch. The Air Jordan 1 High OG Retro “Bred Patent” will arrive on the final week of December 2021.
