The commemorative colourway first released on the high-top Air Jordan 11 Retro finally lands on the Low version! This Air Jordan 11 Low Retro “72-10” celebrates the Chicago Bulls’ historic 72-10 record during NBA regular season. To this day, the 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls roster remains solid in the minds of fans as the best team ever.
Whether it’s an OG colourway or a fresh new rendition, the Air Jordan 11 is extremely popular. Much of the hype comes from Michael Jordan’s statement saying the J11 is his favourite sneaker of all time; and at the same time, MJ won his fourth championship wearing the “tuxedo ready” trainer. This “72-10” makeover follows up on the first “72-10” colourway first released in 2015. And while this may not be a holiday launch, it still feels as such.
The Air Jordan 11 originally came out in 1995 as Michael Jordan wore the shoe during the legendary 1995-95 season. As designer Tinker Hatfield looked for inspiration, he granted Michael Jordan’s request for a “shiny shoe” that can be worn with a tuxedo. And thus the Air Jordan 1 arrived and featured a shiny patent leather mudguard with a Jumpman logo on the rear section.
Full-length Air, herringbone traction pods, carbon fibre midfoot plate, and a soft foam midsole provided that comfort suitable for basketball.
The Air Jordan 11 became an extremely popular shoe among Retro models and continues to release annually during the holiday season.
This Air Jordan 11 Low Retro “72-10” features a black tumbled leather upper and a patent leather mudguard. Suede makes up the heel panel where the “23” and red Jumpman logos bring brand identity.
Finishing them off is the white midsole and the Sail White outsole; all similar to the 72-10 from 2015.
Stay tuned for its official release in April 2022. Definitely going to be a must-have for those who missed out on the first.
