More Tie-Dye themes hit the Air Jordan 1! This time, the Air Jordan 1 Mid SE “Tie-Dye” rocks colours similar to the Air Jordan 4 “Zen Master” arriving this year. The canvas panels on the heel are where the soft pastel hues appear; bringing a fresh new look to the popular Air Jordan silhouette.
This is the second “Tie-Dye” edition Air Jordan 1 right after the Low which we recently covered. Both pairs share the same colour blocking and materials used; but this pair uses Pink, Amethyst Wave, and Purple hues on the tie-dye panels. The summer sneaker rotation just got even better with these!
A shoe for all seasons and all events. The Air Jordan 1 transcended beyond basketball courts and became an integral part of the sneaker culture. Introduced in 1985, the Air Jordan 1 was one of Peter Moore’s immortalised designs together with the Nike Dunk and the adidas mountain logo.
The Air Jordan 1 features a leather upper, nylon tongue, and a rubber cupsole. Inside the cupsole is an Air unit placed in the heel; the very reason there’s Air in Air Jordan.
A rubber outsole with concentric patterns on the forefoot, lugs on the heel, and stars on the toe provide what people call “the greatest traction of all time”.
This Air Jordan 1 Mid SE “Tie-Dye” rocks a White leather base with Black overlays on the midfoot to the toe. Canvas panels cover the ankle collar and heel panel where Amethyst Wave colours highlight tie-dye prints. Other brand labels such as the Swoosh and Jordan Wings come in Black.
Jumpman on the tongue appears in Pink and sticks to the overall theme of the shoe.
A black outsole rounds it all up in this new colourway.
Stay tuned for its release together with the low-top counterpart in May 2022.
