Rock them high or cut them low, this Air Jordan 1 High Retro OG “Prototype” is a flashy release. Add these bad boys to your growing collection of Air Jordan 1 High colourways.
First introduced in 1985, the Air Jordan 1 was the first signature sneaker of “His Airness” Michael Jordan. It has since become one of the greatest sneakers to grace the earth, continuing to grace the sneaker scene for more than three decades now. Plenty of Skateboarders also rock the Air Jordan 1 because of the supportive ankle collar and thick rubber sole, essential features to prevent injuries whilst taking part in the extreme sport.
Looking at the details of the shoe, this Air Jordan 1 is simple yet elegant. Usually featuring leather, the Air Jordan 1 prioritizes on-court needs. There are perforations on the vamp for breathability, Swooshes on the sides and a Wings logo on the ankle collar for that signature look.
A thick rubber sole houses an encapsulated Air unit in the heel for useful cushioning. The outsole features a concentric traction pattern on the forefoot and lugs on the heel.
More than three decades later, the Air Jordan 1 High is back with new striking colourways for the modern era. Check out this “Prototype” edition, which gives sneakerheads the option to cut the ankle collar off.
Boasting leather and nubuck overlays, the shoe features hints of white, black, beige, orange and two shades of blue. Reflective overlays adorn the sides which is a great added effect.
On the ankle collar, see the lines put in place allowing wearers get to cut and convert the shoe to a low-top. When cut, the shoe exposes an interior foam padding in orange.
A black outsole finishes off this daring colourway.
Released on the last week of September 2021. The Air Jordan 1 High OG Retro “Prototype” comes with an eye-catching box and multiple lace options.
