Jordan Brand is bringing back one of its most legendary colourways, giving the Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe” the Reimagined treatment. The last time this OG makeup hit shelves was back in 2016, long before the Last Dance craze reignited the world’s obsession with MJ’s legacy. This time, the “Black Toe Reimagined” pays tribute to an early Jordan photoshoot in Beaverton, where a young Michael Jordan casually slung the pair over his shoulder—before the Wings logo had even been finalised.
One of the standout details? The usual Wings insignia is swapped for “Air Jordan” text branding on the collar, mimicking the original prototype used in that iconic shoot. This subtle but significant storytelling element makes this release even more special. Expect details that nod to vintage AJ1s, including ’85-style tooling, a slightly aged finish, and pre-laced red laces to match MJ’s original look.
It doesn’t stop at the sneaker itself—the packaging is just as nostalgic. The box lid features a rookie Jordan photo from the Flight campaign, and the tissue paper is covered in early design sketches by Peter Moore, the mastermind behind the AJ1. With limited-edition packaging and a throwback-inspired construction, this is a must-have for any collector.
