The Air Jordan 12 “French Blue” is set for a faithful return in 2025, bringing back one of the most recognisable colourways from the early 2000s. First released in 2004, this design stands out with its crisp mix of white and rich blue, paired with premium materials that highlight the silhouette’s sharp lines and layered construction. Tumbled leather takes over the upper, offering a supple yet structured feel, while a pebbled leather mudguard adds depth and durability.
The colour-blocking remains true to the original, with clean white dominating the upper and deep French Blue wrapping the mudguard and midsole. Metallic silver eyelets add subtle contrast near the collar, and the signature “Jumpman” strip at the midfoot carries the same silver branding as before. These elements combine to preserve the energy and prestige the AJ12 has held since its debut.
Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the Air Jordan 12 was the first in the line to introduce full-length Zoom Air cushioning, delivering responsive comfort that suits both on-court performance and casual wear. The outsole still features the model’s carbon fibre shank plate, ensuring stability and torsional support. Stitch lines inspired by the rising sun motif give the upper a distinct visual identity, while the heel tab proudly displays “23” and “JORDAN” text in bold lettering.
For collectors and newcomers alike, the 2025 retro offers a near one-to-one recreation of a classic, keeping the shape, colours, and materials consistent with the original. This release captures the heritage of the AJ12 while reaffirming its place as a standout in Jordan Brand’s history.
