The Air Jordan 13 “Wings” brings Jordan Brand’s community-focused WINGS collection to one of Michael Jordan’s most recognisable silhouettes. This special-edition release swaps the AJ13’s familiar quilted upper for black denim twill, giving the basketball classic a fresh texture and a more handcrafted feel.

Embroidered X-shaped stitching replaces the usual dimples across the upper, while black leather appears around the toe and mudguard for added contrast. The mostly monochromatic finish keeps things understated, but look closer and flashes of colour appear beneath the shoe. Purple, green, orange and blue accents brighten the outsole traction pods, while the familiar heel hologram gets a green update.

Branding also tells an important part of the story. A black metal Jumpman sits on the tongue, joined by “Wings” detailing around the eyestays. The heel replaces the traditional AJ13 cat-eye treatment with a special 23 and Jordan Wings graphic, creating a clear link to the programme.
