The Air Jordan 2 gets in on the action with more colourways this year. We already have a bunch of Cement colourways in 2023 alone. The Air Jordan 11, 6, and maybe even the Air Jordan 3 White Cement Reimagined to name a few. This Air Jordan 2 “Cement Grey” comes in a summer-ready colour blocking for a clean finish. Not only that, but this pair also comes equipped with sunset gradient sockliners as a nod to MJ’s Jumpman photoshoot.
People may not appreciate the Air Jordan 2 due to its lack of MJ history, yet Jordan Brand gives it some love. It’s been quite a while since we saw an Air Jordan 2 but since its Off-White collab in 2021, it became a mainstay release.
With the success of the Air Jordan 1, everyone anticipated the next signature basketball shoe of Michael Jordan. For the Air Jordan 2, AF1 designer Bruce Kilgore and AJ1 designer Peter Moore teamed up to create a new design. The result? A premium Swooshless basketball shoe made in Italy.
Leather and faux iguana skin comprised this luxurious shoe. With no Swoosh to be found, the Jordan Wings logo on the tongue and Nike branding on the heel headline the sneaker.
Nike Air cushioning became the primary source of cushioning.
This Air Jordan 2 “Cement Grey” features a white leather base with cement grey accents. Yellowish tones can be seen on the heel counter but the main highlight of the shoe comes inside.
Skyline sunset sockliners feature “Look, Up In the Air” quotes comprise the sockliner as a nod to His Airness.
This pair drops this May 2023 on Nike UK.
