Another clean colourway of the Air Jordan 3 arrives to go along with the OG Fire Red. Air Jordans 1, 2, and 3 have been on a roll lately! And it will stay that way as fans bring more love to the early Air Jordan models. This Air Jordan 3 Retro “Dark Iris” sticks to the classic White Cement makeover but with Purple hues making headlines.
Remember when the brand announced the Air Jordan 3’s hiatus? After the short pause of J3 releases, all the colourways that followed were impressive! This new “Dark Iris” rendition makes up for a clean and classic makeover just like all the previous pairs. The “Cardinal Red” earlier this year rocked the same colour blocking but in Red and Gold.
The Air Jordan 3 featured a lot of firsts for a Jordan shoe. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the J3 is the first to have a visible Air Max unit on any Air Jordan. This is also where the immortalised Jumpman logo made its first appearance. The Air Jordan 3 was also a historic shoe for MJ as he posted out-of-this-world stats on his way to winning the regular season MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, All-Star MVP, and Slam Dunk Champion.
Forever iconic, the Air Jordan 3 now returns in a modern look. The Air Jordan 3 Retro “Dark Iris” features a White leather base, Grey elephant print overlays, and Dark Iris hues on the heel midsole. More Purple hues appear on the lining, front lace loops, inner lining, Jumpman lining, and forefoot outsole.
The shoe is clean and doesn’t require much effort to rock! Keep an eye out for this pair this September 2022 on the Nike UK website.
