Many basketball fans from the 90s and early 2000s love the Chicago Bulls Michael Jordan. However, when MJ decided to return to the NBA after retiring two times, some wanted to forget his Washington Wizards days. Jordan Brand does otherwise and honours the GOAT’s second NBA team in this brand-new colourway. The Air Jordan 3 Retro “Wizards” arrives donning the Washington Wizards team colours. This is a great addition if you missed out on the White Cement Reimagined!
MJ definitely loves the Air Jordan 3. As a matter of fact, it’s his second favourite model just behind the Air Jordan 11. The shoe also holds a lot of history when it comes to MJ’s career, so each colourway is a must-cop most of the time.
Many consider the Air Jordan 3 as the saviour of Nike. Why? Because Michael Jordan already had his eyes set on adidas after the lacklustre sales of the Air Jordan 2. His foot injury causing him to miss most of his second NBA season was responsible for all of this.
Tinker Hatfield, who was working on the Air Max line, designed the Air Jordan 3 and completely changed MJ’s mind. The debut of the elephant print, Jumpman logo, and the visible Air unit in the heel turned the AJ3 into an icon.
MJ spent his best year wearing the Air Jordan 3 with the Chicago Bulls, but this colourway honours his stint with the Wizards.
This Air Jordan 3 Retro “Wizards” features a White leather base with Blue and Gold tones as a nod to the Washington Wizards. Elephant print overlays appear on the toe, eyestay, and heel panel.
You can cop a pair this April 2023 on the Nike UK online site.
