Black nubuck covers most of the upper, with a soft suede overlay reinforcing the toe box. Red eyestays, blue lining, and coloured accents on the heel and outsole break up the dark base with subtle contrast. Under the removable tongue patch, you’ll either find silver “Rare Air” text—or, if you’re lucky, gold. Nike produced only a small number of gold-tagged pairs, so some releases are rarer than others. You won’t know which you’ve landed until you peel back the patch.

The tongue patch comes off completely, letting you customise the look or go clean. Underfoot, the AJ4 keeps its familiar build with visible Air cushioning and a grippy rubber sole that delivers on comfort and structure.
