Another year, another UNC theme on an Air Jordan Retro! Jordan Brand shows more love for Michael Jordan’s alma mater in Chapel Hill. This has been a norm now as the sneaker community highly anticipates almost every UNC-themed Air Jordan. The Air Jordan 5 Retro “UNC” lands in a clean University Blue makeover with fresh tones of Silver. It may not be identical to the pairs the UNC athletes get, but this is still pretty impressive!

Following up on the Air Jordan 6 Retro UNC from 2022 and other previous UNC iterations, the Air Jordan 5 is surely one of the best in the group. The design features were perfectly executed, giving it a fresh finish worthy of being a must-cop pair.

Tinker Hatfield used an unconventional design inspiration when he sketched the Air Jordan 5. Inspired by World War 2 P-F1 Mustang fighter jets, the AJ5 stands out with the shark teeth design on the forefoot.

The shoe is also bigger and taller than the previous model, and the thick, padded tongue boasts a reflective detail.

Visible Nike Air adorns the heel area. Underneath, the decoupled outsole features herringbone traction patterns using icy translucent soles for another unique finish.

The Air Jordan 5 is another popular early Jordan signature shoe. And we can’t wait for more colourways like this one to emerge in the years to come.

This Air Jordan 5 Retro “UNC” features a University Blue suede base as a subtle nod to the University of North Carolina Tarheels. The shoe offers a lot of unique details. The shark teeth design appears in Silver with UNC Blue speckles. Jordan tag on the heel remains a signature detail on school-inspired colourways.

The inner lining features a premium weave with “Heart” and “Soul” inscribed on the inner tongue of the left and right pairs.
